David Sams is the Parish Fundraising and Stewardship Officer for the Catholic Community Foundation. In this role, David works closely with the parishes throughout the Diocese on offertory support, planned giving, donor stewardship, and capital campaigns. David aims to help parish leadership maximize their short and long-term philanthropic potential.
Before joining the Catholic Community Foundation, David served as the Executive Director of the Community Tax Law Project and as the CEO of the Mission Bridge. Over the years, he has served his community extensively through various volunteer roles.
David earned his legal degrees from the University of Florida and his undergraduate degrees from the University of Alberta. David is a graduate of both Leadership Metro Richmond (2019) and Lead Virginia (2021).
When not at work, David is most likely on the sidelines of a soccer field cheering on his two sons.
