Safe Summer Travels

If my inbox is any indication, many of you and/or your loved ones are traveling, and you appreciated the St. Christopher prayer I sent last week. Sam and I picked a memorable US Open to attend, where there was rain, mud, and bogeys galore! A nice fellow spectator took this picture of us:

On Monday, we traversed Pennsylvania and arrived in Avalon for the week, where much to my surprise, by the time we arrived, my husband had torn out the kitchen. (Who is the patron saint of home improvement? Sources say it is St. Joseph.) Alas, that is his idea of relaxation, whereas mine is reading the almost 700 page book I brought, Cutting for Stone, by Abraham Verghese. By the end of the week, we had both accomplished our goals.

This weekend, I will head back to Virginia but I won’t be out of the car for long, as I am heading to Southwest Virginia for the week. St. Christopher, don’t let me down!

God Bless,

Margaret
