My mommy asked me to write her email this week for a couple of reasons. First, she
thought you might like to see me in my eclipse glasses. I didn’t like wearing them, but I
posed for her just because she’s my mom, and she gave me a treat.

The second reason, and the far more important one, is that she and my dad wanted me to
tell you about the St. Francis – Manchester Third Annual Benefit Dinner, which will be held
on April 26. You might be surprised to know that I have been on the planning committee
with my dad for the past three years. It was sort of by accident, but the committee meetings
happened at my house, so the nice women on the committee named Katie and Christy
invited me to sit in their laps and participate.
Even though I attend the committee meetings, sometimes I doze oƯ, so I’m really not an
expert. My dad, though, knows a lot about St.Francis – Manchester. His name is Jerry, and
this is what he told me:
St. Francis – Manchester is the only faith-based assisted living community in the area solely
dedicated to serving seniors of limited economic means. The Annual Benefit Dinner is a
major source of funding so the home can continue its critical mission. I hope you will
consider joining us on April 26 to support St. Francis and the wonderful people who live
there.
My dad told me you can learn more about St. Francis and buy tickets here:
I have heard that the event is really, really fun, and I wish I could go. But you can, and I hope
you will! I have heard that some people even travel to Richmond from out of town to attend
the event.
I hope you have a great weekend!
