A Note of Thanks

With its simple, singular focus – gratitude – Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. (In reality, I might have several favorites, so keep that in mind if I use that line in a subsequent email.)

This year, my daughter volunteered to cook, with a big assist from GMom who will prepare the turkey and stuffing. I understand the menu will include green beans, mac and cheese, pumpkin pie, and my personal favorite, mashed potatoes and gravy. I don’t know how I got so lucky with a 20-year-old who wants to do all this work, but I’m not asking questions!

However you celebrate, I hope you know how grateful I am for each of you. For reading, for sharing your stories with me, for what you do for your parish or school or ministry or the Diocese. I am aware that I am in a fortunate position to be able to share just a little something with you each week, but I get far more in return from this community of faithful and supportive people.

So, I can’t say it enough, thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

God Bless,

Margaret

P.S. In the Spring, I shared a picture of my pink tree that makes me thankful. This is my yellow one that makes me feel the same way in the Fall.
