Today we are wrapping up Discover Catholic Schools Week, which we commemorate to connect our Catholic schools with prospective families, donors, educators, and the wider community. This is not to be confused with Celebrate Catholic Schools Week, which occurs the last week of each January. Honestly, those in my office who work with the McMahon Parater Scholarship Foundation celebrate Catholic schools every week!
From Bristol to Virginia Beach, there are 30 Catholic schools in our Diocese. More than 9300 students are taught by 1066 dedicated educators, and each year, a significant number of children receive financial aid that enables them to receive a Catholic school education. A primary avenue for providing tuition assistance is through the McMahon Parater Scholarship Foundation (MPSF.) Regular readers of my email know I write about this with some frequency, but here I go again…
…because is that time of year when folks are thinking about year-end giving. If you are someone who has been thinking about donating to the EISTC program through the MPSF, for which you recognize significant tax savings through a state tax credit and federal and state deductions, now is the time. We would like to receive the pre-authorization forms by December 15. But why not click on the link below, get your forms, and begin the process today?

I hope many of you will consider this efficient and important way of supporting our Catholic Schools. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
God Bless,
Margaret
