Parish Toolkit

This page is designed for those who will lead and conduct the Annual Diocesan Appeal effort in their parishes. This may include pastors, parish business managers, bookkeepers, and parish secretaries. As the Appeal develops, this site will be updated with key templates and messages to help you talk with parishioners about the importance of the effort.

Parish sharing through
the Annual Diocesan Appeal

Parish sharing through the Annual Diocesan Appeal provides direct support to your parish, with a percentage of every dollar going right back to you. This year’s parish sharing check schedule follows closely with previous Appeal years.

Appeal Chairs: *NEW THIS YEAR*

Before Covid, it was regular practice for parishes to have an Appeal Volunteer Chair and Co-Chair(s) assisting the pastor and parish staff in leading the Appeal effort. This year, we have decided to bring it back. No matter how well your parish performs in the Appeal, we strongly encourage you to consider this opportunity. Depending on the parish size, it may be best to have one person managing the Appeal process or, in the case of our larger parishes, a committee may need to be formed to ensure proper execution. This document outlines the chair and co-chair positions and their responsibilities.

Appeal Parish Sharing Formula

The parish sharing formula for the 2026 Appeal is the same as the 2025 Appeal and is as follows:

A non-mission parish receives 20% for anything collected up to the parish’s target and 50% for anything collected over target. A mission parish continues to receive the same 50% back from the first dollar collected.

Dashboards and Online Giving

When logging into your dashboard, if you receive an error message that your password is incorrect or your account has timed out due to inactivity, you will need to reset your password. To reset your parish’s password, please contact Amanda Glass at aglass@richmondccf.org

Note: There is a new URL to access Raiser’s Edge. Please bookmark the new URL to log in: renxt.blackbaud.com

MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (MFA) – Blackbaud does not share your cell phone number with anyone else. IMPORTANT: MFA is a security requirement now and it needs to be set up on the local parish side. We unfortunately cannot do this on behalf of a parish.

Give Central: Keep in mind that they are our online giving vendor, and they also serve as key donor support for online gifts made to the Appeal. Please make sure your parishioners are fully aware through the announcements, e-blasts, e-bulletins, etc. that they may contact them for assistance as needed. Their contact information is (833) 716-2612 or email support@givecentral.org or click on the “Chat with an Expert” button at www.givecentral.org.
